Tina Newman, Assistant Director, tnewman@allsaintstexoma.org

Hey y'all! I am originally from Sherman, Texas and now reside in Whitesboro. I attend Southeastern Oklahoma State University where I major in Zoology and minor in Conservation. I am also working towards my Raptor Handling Certification through the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center and work with birds of prey, including Red Tailed Hawks, American Kestrels, Peregrine Falcons, a Red Shouldered Hawk, a Screech Owl, and a Barn Owl. I am a Certified Facilitator in Project Flying WILD, and a Certified Educator in Project Learning Tree and Project WILD. I am the camp's "Bird Nerd" and love nature/wildlife photography and ANYTHING that gets me outside, which is why I love JOLT!

Kim Render, Low Ropes Specialist

I was raised in Naperville IL which in the Chicago land area. I then went to Western Illinois University were I graduated with a degree in Zoology and a minor in Anthropology. I have always had a thrust for knowledge in the biology field and would like to further my education some time down the road.

Toni Walton, High Ropes Specialist

I am originally from Whitewright, Texas. During high school I started working at a YMCA summer camp where I developed a love for children and the outdoors.  Because of my passion for camp, I decided to major in Recreation & Leisure Studies at UNT.  I love teaching children, especially about nature and science and I am a certified Educator in Project WILD.  I love to fish, hike, star gaze and study snakes.

Kelly Poe, Waterfront Specialist

I am a local to Pottsboro and have always loved being outdoors and learning about nature.  I graduated from Christendom College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.  I was also a Certified Water Safety Instructor through the Red Cross and taught swimming during the summer for 5 years.  I loved teaching and working with kids, especially about something that I really loved and was interested in, which is what brings me to JOLT.

Joshua “Munch” Muchnikoff

Since then, I have worked with the Student Conservation Society at Mammoth Cove Kentucky, and then with Texas A&M University as a Field Biologist. I love anything to do with the outdoors, including camping, hiking, canoeing, and much much more!

April Lyon

Hi! I am one of the new faces of JOLT! I can honestly say I’ve been around the world and find myself right back in Sherman, TX. God works in mysterious ways! I’ve spent the last seven years working with children and all the joys that come with them! The YMCA allowed me to spend time both with the children, but to gain knowledge of how to run a well-structured campsite. Safety is something that I am passionate about. Lifeguarding, and teaching CPR has allowed me to utilize my passion of keeping people safe! I have a 7-year-old angel who keeps me grounded and pushes me forward. I’m excited to be back in the area, and ready to join team!
